Draft Your Own Patch Pant Pocket

Sometimes you come across a pattern that is free or cheap, and because the designer didn’t likely want to spend too much time on something that isn’t going to give a great return for their time, they make it very basic. So this usually means… no pockets!

One of these such patterns, that I really like, is the Long John Jammers from Rad Patterns. It is a very basic jogger style pant but it is definitely a “no frills” kind of basic. My dear husband informed me, after I made his first pair, that they “have” to have pockets. So I came up with a pocket for him, and decided to share how I created it, so that you can also draft this simple patch pocket for any pattern you have that is in “need” of a set of pockets. Enjoy!
