Easy Way to Sew Folded Bands/Cuffs

If you make garments, you have more than likely had to sew those fiddly, fold over bands and cuffs. In the traditional way, you sew the edge with right sides together, and then roll it over itself so that the wrong sides are together and the sewn seam is enclosed, giving you a tube cuff or band. In this method I show you just how to sew these cuffs with one, shorter seam, and no fiddling to roll the wrong sides together. This method can save time and frustration, I know it sure has for me!

Just remember if you are sewing a collar that you want to put a drawstring though you can’t use this method because it closes that seam so nothing can pass through.
